So I don't know a lot about this project. It was once on Steam and now it's not. It's about 30 dollars on their website with their own launcher. Its pvpve and you can squad up with your buddies. There are 4 different maps, a bunch of quests, loot, extractions - it's essentially a simpler version of Escape from Tarkov. Graphically, the intention is to keep it simple so you don't need a beefy pc to run. It's made by a company called Siba games - based in Italy. And I can't find any other game they've created.

Here's what I know about the project so far: Realism as a Focus Weapon Mechanics Craft your ideal weapon – modify, swap, or add parts for versatile performance in any situation. We've also implemented an advanced simulation of external and terminal ballistics, ensuring accuracy by using real-world data for ammunition and protective materials. Unique Health System Injuries impact perception and performance. Identify the injury and solution to survive and help teammates. Injuries encompass bruises, bleeding wounds, broken bones, damaged organs, and pain, and players also need to manage energy and hydration. Visually Stunning Utilizing the latest Unreal Engine 5, GZW harnesses cutting-edge technology, including the groundbreaking features of Nanite, Lumen, and virtual textures. This enables unprecedented levels of graphical fidelity and realism.

Transience is currently in development by a YouTuber known as BigFry. If you've seen his stuff, you'll know he can occasionally have harsh and honest opinions toward developers - especially ones that utilize scummy practices or push out minimal content for a quick buck. This prompted him to make a game. So now - you can try it out here. It's a single-player story-driven game that's going to be utilizing a comic-book style of graphics and story-telling. It looks fantastic and right now the FREE demo shows there's a great foundation. STEAM PAGE: Transience on Steam (steampowered.com) Follow Bigfry on X to keep up: https://x.com/BigfryTV?s=20

An upcoming game set in a time when the world has come undone. Supernatural forces and aggressive anomalies inhabit a world where you and your squad are tasked with finding artifacts that are vital to survival. You'll be hunted by not only other squads, but player anomalies, as well. The game is set to release in 2024 and I'm very excited about it. From what I can tell, the game is going to be a lot more like Hunt: Showdown than it is something like Tarkov or the DMZ. You'll load in, you'll find the artifact, you'll complete different quests for traders, level up your skills, and fight back the evil that surrounds you. It's being made by a small studio called Deep Worlds and they're currently in the playtesting phase. To join their playtest, join their discord linked below. Alright, for some reason you crazy kids want a photorealistic horror game where the hyper-realism is over-the-top and might literally cause you to urinate all over your seat. BUT...since you want it - here it is. This is a game called Paranormal Tales and it's developed by Digital Cybercherries, the same team behind Hypercharge: Unboxed. Paranormal Tales is a next-gen horror game based on found footage built in Unreal Engine 5. You experience and play through each tragic tale of those who went missing from the viewpoint of bodycams, phones, and VHS cameras. The game is set to release in 2023 and it has multiple scenarios that you can explore. Each scenario is a self-contained experience where you playthrough what happened to the people who recorded these files. The game promises to deliver hyper-realistic environments, immersive audio and visual effects, and as you’ll soon see - plenty of jump scares and anxiety. The game is currently on Steam and you can wishlist it if you're interested. The plan is also to bring it to Playstation 5 and Xbox One S/S. Personally, I’m not a horror jump-scare kinda guy and I had to pause the trailers just so I wouldn't scream (I'm a grown man, I swear). So enjoy it, ya weirdos.

We don't know a lot about this project yet, other than it's a single-player story-driven body-cam style of shooter. We've seen only one video so far, but this game looks absolutely terrific in regards to the environment. This is being developed by a studio called DRAMA and it will be the first game they've created and released on Steam. The game was just announced on 4/19/2023, but I'm looking forward to seeing some of the cool mechanics the game has to offer. In the original demo, the player kicks a door open, has a malfunction of his pistol, sees a drone flying, and the enemies have their faces blurred. There also appears to be dialogue with choices available along the way. Here's more information and the More Info button takes you to their Steam page. Let's do some quick gamer math. What do you get when you have a first person shooter, you add extreme movements like diving, rolling, and sliding with no limitations, you sprinkle in some bullet time matrix abilities, a sprinkle of invisibility, and a solo developer who's an absolute genius. Fun. You get fun. This is a new game expected to release next year called out of action and its one of the most well-balanced chaos simulators I've ever seen. This game has such immense depth yet at the same time has terrific balance. And for being in such an early state - I'm incredibly impressed with the solo developer, who goes by Doku. You can follow along with he production of the game at the link and see peeks of gameplay on his Twitter (link here), but the game is soon to have a demo released for some enjoyable action against bots. Steam Description: Action heavy, multiplayer + singleplayer FPS set in a brutal cyberpunk universe.

Alright gamers, this new project is looking to be something really cool. While it's only currently in VERY early stages, it's got a fantastic foundation, and they're doing things right. This is an extraction shooter but it's not the typical extraction shooter - it's more like a "capture the flag" style of extraction shooter. There are a lot of great mechanics, which you'll see in the video down below, that makes it a fresh new take on the genre. It's currently VERY early in development, as you'll see by the video, but it's got some great things going for it. The general gameplay loop is as follows: 1. Set up your loadout/perks in the social lobby section of the game, as well as compete in various mini games in this social arena 2. Load into a map with 4 total teams of 3 and compete for resources 3. Kill enemy alien AI and gather resources and equipment from them before heading into battle (optional) 4. Head to one of several resource points to collect a resource to extract 5. Once you grab a resource, an enemy team will be pinged of your location and attempt to steal the resource 6. Fend them off, extract the resource, and either extract or remain in the map for extra resources 7. Upon extraction, use the rewards in the social lobby to improve equipment, perks, and progress your character 8. Repeat STEAM DESCRIPTION Ascendant is a social FPS PvP extraction shooter where multiple teams fight over limited resources in an ever changing map where no two games are the same. If you're looking to get into VR, you need to keep your eye on this game. While it's not going to be the full Escape from Tarkov experience, it has the capability to be incredibly immersive (and give you bouts of depression because you lose your gear). At the writing of this, the game is in an Open Alpha to test some of the bugs and stress the server and that's ending Wednesday, March 15th. So if you've got a headset - can't hurt to try it out! One of the things that I think might hinder the VR experience for most people is 1. The giant facemask you've got to wear and 2. The lack of environment. Now, the game is only in its Alpha state, but at this point you're not able to walk down into a village and start looking in every building. Technology is improving, but I don't think most computers have the capability to manage all those objects on the screen. This is something that will certainly take you out of the experience, along with the very-noticeable textures (reminds me a lot of the old Fallout 3/New Vegas textures). This may not be a big deal for most - but thinking only as a creator here - nobody wants to really watch bobby VR footage with Fallout textures. I do know that that's not the attitude of most when it comes to playing VR, though, so it's all subjective. I'm looking forward to the experience offered in this game, as well as some other upcoming VR titles. I'll be keeping a close watch. Will be releasing on: Steam, Oculus, PSVR2, EPIC GAMES Steam Description: Ghosts of Tabor is VRs only FPS PVP and PVE survival game where you will use your wits, skills and resources to survive. So this game really surprised me. Normally, I'm a military, slow paced, first person shooter kinda guy. However, THIS GAME was LOADS of fun. Maybe it's because it's something entirely new and fresh in the FPS world, but it's LOADS of fun. You've got nearly unlimited destruction and the environment can be your greatest asset or your greatest downfall. It's currently in a closed testing period, but it's expected to release soon (no official date given, yet). My biggest gripe is the TTK is SOOO SLOW but that also allows getaways and re-assessing your situation to promote destruction and complete the objective. The games I've played were a 3v3v3v3 style of game mode with objectives needing completed across the map. Very unique but exactly what the gaming world needs - something innovative. Click the orange link to see the Steam page and (hopefully) try it out. Steam Description: Join THE FINALS, the world-famous, free-to-play, combat-centered game show! Fight alongside your teammates in virtual arenas that you can alter, exploit, and even destroy. Build your own playstyle in this first-person shooter to win escalating tournaments and lasting fame.

    LEAP

    233 downloads

LEAP's Big Problem Normally, I'm pretty optimistic about games. But this one - it's not looking good. While there are some really cool aspects of this game that would be great for all gamers to enjoy, it's currently got one glaring problem. NOBODY IS PLAYING. The game is available on Xbox one, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC and STILL can't get more than one server running at peak hours. So what is LEAP? According to Steam, "LEAP is a fast-paced, multiplayer first-person shooter featuring epic large scale battles, each with players armed to the teeth. Fight for either the United Earth Defense Coalition (UEDC) or the rebel Exo-Terrans - whoever pays the most, wins your trigger finger and excessive arsenal." The game just released out of early access a few days ago and is now OFFICIALLY a 1.0 release. In my opinion, the game felt a bit like Destiny (ish) - primarily first person action sprinkled with some third person movements featuring futuristic weapons with some cool gadgets and special abilities that you can use in combat. However, unlike Destiny, there is no specific campaign to follow. It does feature a co-op game mode that you can hop in with either your friends or randoms to fight against waves of enemies, but without a real story line like Destiny, it's not a fulfilling experience. As far as PvP modes go, the game has several different game modes with different server sizes, but the emphasis tends to be on those large-scale battles of up to 40 players at once. Like other games that emphasize large scale battles, you've got different classes that you can choose from with each class having their own weapon sets and special abilities to suit your playstyle. Because of the larger maps, the game also offers a means of transport, namely a hoverboard, so you can traverse the map quicker and get to the action or attempt to flank your enemies. This was a nice feature that I think allows the players to constantly be engaged in firefights so the experience doesn't get boring. When it comes to the gunplay, I would say it's...fair. The weapons themselves have little to no recoil, but this is a good design choice, in my opinion, because the engagements can have a lot of verticality to them. Between flying on your Green Goblin hoverboard and using your Spiderman grappling hook, you've got to learn to shoot up, down, left, right, and up again. Luckily, the movements themselves feel pretty fluid and once you get the hang of them. There are a lot of buttons to figure out along the way, however, and it's going to take a few rounds to learn the special abilities, what they're used for, and what gadgets you should be bringing in. Despite the poor player count, though, the game is not without some redeeming factors. One of the games main selling points is that it's able to host UGC or User Generated Content (mods). In order to allow this, players can host their own servers with custom rules. However, these are both rendered useless if nobody is playing the game. The game also offers several different customization options, including (but not limited to), weapon skins, customizable vehicles, weapon charms, exosuit skins, and others. Unfortunately, unless I missed it, the game doesn't have any real weapon customization. There are no attachments or alternative optics that you can place on weapons, which is an unfortunate design choice. Everyone loves weapon customization. But unfortunately, again, none of this matters because nobody is playing it. Everything above is fairly irrelevant if nobody is playing it and the game gets shut down in a year. So what should be done? At the current price point of around 30 USD, this game is set for destruction in the very near future. If the developers want to salvage their game at all, they're going to have to act quickly and make this game free to play. They've got plenty of customization in the game to allow for something like a battlepass with special skins and microtransactions, but without a very quick turnaround, this game is doomed. And then whatever money they have left, they should dump into marketing so people actually know about this game. It's a shame, really. I hate seeing indie titles fail, but this one is on a swift path to that. Hopefully, they can turn it around. You can watch the gameplay for the server I was able to find here:

SCUM is an incredible survival game with beautiful graphics and some insane details that can add to your survival experience. The map is giant, as well. I personally haven't played too many survival games because of the time they take, but I can see myself sinking hours into this one. You can swap between first person and third person and there are multiple servers to choose from. Zombies, mechs, and players are some enemies you'll encounter but the biggest enemy is the environment. There are loads of different ways to die but also loads of different ways to live. Highly recommended, especially if you're looking for a hardcore survival sandbox game to sink hours into. This mod has been in production for a while, but it was a lot of fun hopping in with my buddies. At the time of writing this, there is no PvP but the bots are difficult enough, honestly. I love the vibe that this mod brought - while it's still fairly barebones (and you can tell by some of the textures/environments), it truly does hit a nostalgia string from the old Battlefront experiences. AND - it's free, if you've already got Sandstorm downloaded. That's always fun! Try it out on some of their official servers. There's another version of this mod located HERE that has a few more features - it's mostly for testing. We didn't get into this server, which is why we can't use the ADS feature. So imagine Tarkov in the Unreal Engine...that's...well, sort of what this game is like. Instead of any PvP, however, this game is going to offer single-player and co-op missions. But it remains an extraction style shooter, from how the demo plays out, though there may be focused more on the story line and less on the open-world extraction gameplay loop. The game has a free demo out you can try right now, but you're going to need some beefier specs to run it, as of now. The game has some great weapon customization options and some hardcore mechanics - a good one to keep your eye on in the future! This is one of the most intriguing projects I've got my eye on right now. This was a game originally cancelled back in 2009 because some goobers decided it was too politically charged, but has made it's return. The game announced it's return back in 2021 and was expected to release in 2022, but now has an early access release date! JUNE 22, 2023 "Victura and Highwire Games today announced Six Days in Fallujah, a first-person tactical military shooter based on true stories from the Second Battle for Fallujah in 2004, coming to PC and consoles. Originally announced by Atomic Games in 2009, Six Days in Fallujah returns with a new publisher, new developer and an all-new game from many of the core leadership team who created the original Halo and Destiny games. “Sometimes the only way to understand what’s true is to experience reality for yourself,” says former Marine Sergeant Eddie Garcia, who was wounded during the Battle for Fallujah and proposed the original idea for Six Days in Fallujah in 2005. “War is filled with uncertainty and tough choices that can’t be understood by watching someone on a TV or movie screen make these choices for you. Video games can help all of us understand real-world events in ways other media can’t.”" Click the orange button to follow along with the game and it's production. Original gameplay footage from IGN:
  23. If you need something with incredibly easy recoil, this is your guy. I tried to build something with a higher damage output since the recoil was so manageable and this thing felt good. I was worried about the range, a bit, but even that surprised me. Definitely a good one if you're struggling with the recoil in Modern Warfare 2.
