An upcoming game set in a time when the world has come undone. Supernatural forces and aggressive anomalies inhabit a world where you and your squad are tasked with finding artifacts that are vital to survival. You'll be hunted by not only other squads, but player anomalies, as well. The game is set to release in 2024 and I'm very excited about it. From what I can tell, the game is going to be a lot more like Hunt: Showdown than it is something like Tarkov or the DMZ. You'll load in, you'll find the artifact, you'll complete different quests for traders, level up your skills, and fight back the evil that surrounds you. It's being made by a small studio called Deep Worlds and they're currently in the playtesting phase. To join their playtest, join their discord linked below. This is one of the most intriguing projects I've got my eye on right now. This was a game originally cancelled back in 2009 because some goobers decided it was too politically charged, but has made it's return. The game announced it's return back in 2021 and was expected to release in 2022, but now has an early access release date! JUNE 22, 2023 "Victura and Highwire Games today announced Six Days in Fallujah, a first-person tactical military shooter based on true stories from the Second Battle for Fallujah in 2004, coming to PC and consoles. Originally announced by Atomic Games in 2009, Six Days in Fallujah returns with a new publisher, new developer and an all-new game from many of the core leadership team who created the original Halo and Destiny games. “Sometimes the only way to understand what’s true is to experience reality for yourself,” says former Marine Sergeant Eddie Garcia, who was wounded during the Battle for Fallujah and proposed the original idea for Six Days in Fallujah in 2005. “War is filled with uncertainty and tough choices that can’t be understood by watching someone on a TV or movie screen make these choices for you. Video games can help all of us understand real-world events in ways other media can’t.”" Click the orange button to follow along with the game and it's production. Original gameplay footage from IGN:

This is the last iteration in the America's Army series that you can still download and play, though you won't find any official servers. I can still hop on and find a few people playing. You're also able to go to the shooting range and through basic training and a few other things. Ready or Not is definitely the most immersive and intense game that I've played. This game can get really, really difficult. With every update, they add loads of content and tweak the AI to find that "just right" area that makes each map slightly beatable, but you're going to die in this game...a lot. Unfortunately, the game is only Co-op at the moment, but they previously had PvP implemented prior to their release on steam. Hopefully that can make a comeback, but we'll see. Highly recommend if you like that slower-paced, danger-around-every-corner style of play. Steam Description: Ready or Not is an intense, tactical, first-person shooter that depicts a modern-day world in which SWAT police units are called to defuse hostile and confronting situations. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM: Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 Processor: Intel Core i5-4430 / AMD FX-6300 Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB / AMD Radeon R7 370 2GB DirectX: Version 11 Storage: 50 GB available space RECOMMENDED: Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system OS: 64-bit Windows 10 Processor: AMD Ryzen 5-1600 / Intel Core i5-7600K Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB or better DirectX: Version 11 Storage: 50 GB available space

A tactical FPS with online team-based action game play that takes place in a variety of locations in Bangladesh with Real-life scale & resource management. Inspired by various other tactical shooter games, Zero Hour tries to bring a very grounded CO-OP and Team vs Team experience in locations with real-life scale (no video game scale) and resource management. In multiplayer, both sides are tasked to wipe out the other team and complete objectives. The defenders are tasked to protect the bomb from being defused and keep their hostage from being rescued and running away. On the contrary, the attackers are to defuse the bomb or rescue the hostage held captive. In the CO-OP mode, based on the map you decide to play in, will have several objectives that will need to be completed in order to call for extraction.
