If you're looking to get into VR, you need to keep your eye on this game. While it's not going to be the full Escape from Tarkov experience, it has the capability to be incredibly immersive (and give you bouts of depression because you lose your gear). At the writing of this, the game is in an Open Alpha to test some of the bugs and stress the server and that's ending Wednesday, March 15th. So if you've got a headset - can't hurt to try it out! One of the things that I think might hinder the VR experience for most people is 1. The giant facemask you've got to wear and 2. The lack of environment. Now, the game is only in its Alpha state, but at this point you're not able to walk down into a village and start looking in every building. Technology is improving, but I don't think most computers have the capability to manage all those objects on the screen. This is something that will certainly take you out of the experience, along with the very-noticeable textures (reminds me a lot of the old Fallout 3/New Vegas textures). This may not be a big deal for most - but thinking only as a creator here - nobody wants to really watch bobby VR footage with Fallout textures. I do know that that's not the attitude of most when it comes to playing VR, though, so it's all subjective. I'm looking forward to the experience offered in this game, as well as some other upcoming VR titles. I'll be keeping a close watch.
